Juneau, AK
Today's travels took us to Juneau, which is Alaska's state capitol. The trip to Mendenhall Glacier was exciting; pictures to be posted later.
My impression
of Juneau is that it lacks charm, possibly because so much of the downtown is tourist-focused. There are too many tourist shops, many selling the same stuff. The local shops have been driven out...
There are four cruise ships in port today and downtown was very crowded. The wind and rain did not make it any better.
